The Black Image Center recently closed their physical location so I wanted to offer support as the organization moves into a new phase. The collection will hopefully include materials from their time at their old space: events, workshops, parties and other projects in addition to new forthcoming materials from their next chapter.
I might need a little bit more time…
I did a first round of collecting but the materials are not necessarily the amount I was maybe expecting. Maya connected me to their social media person who I’m hoping will be able to share some additional digital materials to add some more context/substance.
Documentation can happen through photos and scans of physical materials and files of digital materials.
