Collection Idea:

Gathering Southland Institute ephemera and materials from 2016-present.

Materials would include: prospectuses (2), syllabi, program proposals, grant applications, documentation of events, readers.

Who is this collection for?
artists, educators, designers interested in alternative educational models.

Week 4

Collection Scope:
This collection will include documents generated for and in support of public programming, lectures, workshops, classes, publications, and promotional materials collected and saved since the Southland Institute’s founding in 2016. It will also include selected documents that influenced the founding of the organization.

How things will be documented / collected:
I have been collecting these materials over time, since 2016.
There is a fair amount of digital documentation already on the Southland Institute website, but printed / analog documentation has not been officially catalogued. Physical objects will be stored in a box, with digital documentation made either via scanning or photographing.
