box label

(this is a WIP/draft for sure) i want the label to embody something about communications and negotiations, and the group chat feels familiar, with it’s emote symbols especially. i will add text on top with the title and/ or another flourish to assert the context of housemates in the group chat. tbd…

collections map - for this i think i need more content. i would like to imagine this collection as more than just my own materials, and create access points that span across various roommate configurations. i’d imagine it as a relational database and am curious about the top terms that might emerge.

accessioning drawing

this applies to the process of working through one person’s donations, in this case my own. there might be additional steps to coordinate the solicitation, intake, and sorting of donations from others.

what do i need?

my time
specifically: time to clean my room, do laundry
a more comfortable space
quiet time (for thinking…)
time asleep… medicine to help me sleep
leisure time, i need to go on a walk and look at bugs, i need time to waste too!

realistically i need to go to the doctor and start taking vitamins and drinking more water. i need to create a plan and to convince people to participate in this project as well.

how?
hmmm. i will need to solicit materials. i can and will collect from my own circumstances (past and present) but will need to figure out a plan on acquiring material and how that informs the content and biases in my collection. still thinking….

collections scope and limits:

so far I think the items i’m collecting must demonstrate a communication made or attempted between tenants in the house or tenant to landlord or tenant to potential future tenant. i realized that the actual materials i am most interested in have something to do with communication, and am going down this aisle to see what else i find.

some examples: group chat iMessage archives (these are html exports), emails (between roommates and other entities related), notes, reminders on paper (to each other, or future self inside the home), tools for communicating responsibility for home maintenance (chore wheels and charts), drawings (new room layout ideas), and financial planning tools, like spreadsheets and Venmo requests. also instruments to find a roommate or a room like Facebook groups, craigslist Instagram, etc., and the communications therein.
